Lok Abhiyan facilitates empowerment of women and girls from marginalised communities to end the poverty and social exclusion. We provided skill training to around 300 local women and helped them to earn extra income and respect in their families. Formation of SHG’s played an important role in establishment of petty businesses. Now a big number of women have started their small shops, bought sewing machine or hand held vending Rickshaw (Thela). SHG’s have brought remarkable change in their lives.
